To All Atlantian Rapier Marshals in Training...
To All Atlantian Rapier Marshals in Training,
does Baron Alejandro Send Greetings!
Just a friendly reminder that in order to complete your MIT paperwork, there are two classes you must take. One is Field Marshalling - it is taught most times at University of Atlantia. However, it can be taught by special request by Master Kevin of Thornbury, who is in charge of MIT training in general, or THL Vyvyan Broussard, Kingdom Rapier Marshal, or myself. It can also be taught by other members of the Kingdom Marshal staff. This class is required for all MITs regardless of discipline. The class specifically designed for Rapier MITs is Rapier Marshal 201 taught by myself or THL Vyvyan.
Baron Corun MacAndra has very, very kindly allowed me to come & teach the Rapier Marshal 201 class at upcoming Performer's Symposium, presumably over lunch during the day so as not to interfere with the Performer's classes. If you're an MIT or a warranted rapier marshal needing this class again, feel free to come on out. Bring your MIT paperwork and I will sign off on it for the classes. If you don't bring your paperwork then we cannot sign off on your class. Many, many thanks to the autocrats for allowing me to come and invade their event with a non-Performer's class. It is definitely appreciated. In light of that, I STRONGLY URGE that MITs participate in the classes & event to show their thanks to the autocrats & the Barony for allowing us this opportunity. Keep in mind that Castilgione says that a true gentleman or lady of the court is well-rounded, with a knowledge of music, poetry, & the classical arts. Remember, either of these classes can be taken at any point during your apprenticeship, including the very beginning or the very end. So if you're a brand new MIT with no events under your belt, feel free to come on out.
I am always available to answer questions & problems. Be sure to go to http://rapier.atlantia.sca.org for more information and complete instructions on how to complete your apprenticeship.
-Alejandro
